Black History Month Interactive Presentation: Alexander Hines

An interactive workshop will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, February 5th in the Centrum:

"Everybody Wanna be a Nigga, but Nobody Wanna be a Nigger: The Mis-Education of Nigger and the Historical Evolution of Nigger"

This presentation will focus on the evolution of the word, “Nigger”. Explore the present-day critique of its usage in the US educational systems and the Concordia community as we examine its impact and future.

Hailing from the Twin Cities, co-presenters Alexander Hines, Kenneth Turner, and Marcellus Davis live out racial equity and justice in their personal and professional lives.

Engage in the conversation and kick off Black History Month with Black Student Union and Intercultural Affairs.
Stay afterward for refreshments and continued discussion in the Atrium.
