Book Drive All April

African Student Union will be hosting a book drive to collect used books for charitable organizations that focus on advancing global literacy and education. This project is being coordinated in conjunction with the Worldwide Book Drive; one of the largest used-book donors in the U.S. Together, our focus is to make books available to schools, libraries, domestic and international charities.

Improve lives by donating books today!

The Easter break is an opportunity to bring back from home all the books you can find.

We’ll accept all types of books; textbooks, fictional, catalogs, magazines, used/new, anything and everything… Obsolete or severely damaged books are recycled to benefit the Life Skills Center for the Severely Disabled, creating jobs for disabled adults. Work alone, with your residence hall, your organization, your department or class to gather and bring books to our collection points.

Collection points: Atrium (in front of Centrum), Academy 1st floor, Ivers, Old Main 2nd floor, Olin, Hvidsten (Music Building), Library
Drop your books in the large white boxes.

Our goal: Collect at least 500 books
Duration: April 4th - May 4th

ASU will have a table in the Atrium 12pm-5pm on April 4th, 11th,12th and April 16th -20th. Otherwise contact us at asu.cord@gmail.com for more information.

Thanks in advance for you generosity!
