Growing Quality

The central mission of Lutheran higher education is to prepare people for a lifetime of service to society. As the inheritors of this tradition that stretches back for more than a century at Concordia, we build on a solid foundation.
Serving Our Mission by growing quality means creating and supporting important programs in three major areas:

1. Discerning Our Calling ($7.1 million)
- develop Call to Serve program
- create new curricula
- endow a chair in Lutheran theology

2. Enhancing Academic Excellence ($10.5 million)
- establish a Center for Excellence and Innovation
- provide for student research projects
- fund faculty development, innovation grants and program initiatives
- endow professorships and academic programs

3. Strengthening International, Multicultural Education ($9.9 million)
- provide for programs, professorships in languages, international studies
- endow scholarships for Massai students
- fund scholarships, curriculum, programs for Concordia Language Villages
- construct a Russian Language Village
