Spiritual Life

As a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Concordia encourages its students to explore and nurture their personal religious beliefs and use faith and intellect as active partners in finding their vocation. We pride ourselves on creating a social and academic environment where open discussions of faith and spirituality are woven into the fabric of college life. We’re also a diverse, multicultural campus that openly welcomes those with different beliefs.

Campus Ministry is a vital resource for students who are looking for engaging worship opportunities of all shapes and sizes. There are traditional Chapel services every morning Monday through Thursday; contemporary, student-led praise groups that meet throughout the week; Bible study groups; theology discussion groups; and choirs, bands and more.

There are also tons of ways to get involved in social justice projects such as Habitat for Humanity, hunger and disaster relief, and community outreach.

Not Lutheran?

You’re not alone – only 55 percent of Concordia students are. Students of all faiths, or with no religious beliefs, are welcome at Concordia. But if you’re looking for a particular congregation, Campus Ministry provides a complete list of all churches, synagogues and other places of worship in the Fargo-Moorhead region.
