Student Services
Health and Wellness
We want you to get a great education - but it can be hard to focus on your studies if you're sick or struggling with emotional situations. So Concordia provides several services to keep you healthy and happy.
The Kjos Health Center is available Monday through Friday for students experiencing health-related issues. The knowledgeable medical staff can assist with illnesses and refer you to another medical facility if needed.
Sometimes you just need to talk through your concerns with someone. The Counseling Center has professional counselors and offers free individual, couple and group counseling for students.
We also offer assistance for students with disabilities and will work with each person and their specific needs.
Exercise almost always plays a positive role in health and wellness. We offer a free exercise facility on the balcony of the Olson Fitness Forum. You can use elliptical machines, stationary bikes, weight-lifting machines and treadmills. There's also a personal television with each piece of equipment, so you can catch up on the national news or maybe the latest episode of American Idol.
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs often play a role in student success. There are a number of resources on campus to assist students who struggle with these issues.
And our newest resource, Student Health 101, is a comprehensive newsletter delivered in an interactive e-book format. You can share your opinions and experiences within each article and participate in an ongoing discussion among students from across the country.
