Off-Campus Travel

Any off-campus organizational trip planned and organized by students must be registered through the Office of Student Leadership and Service. A standard form is available on the student organization off-campus travel website. The following guidelines are in effect:

  • All college policies are in effect for the duration of the trip.
  • Advisers are required to accompany each group. There should be one adviser for every 20 students on the trip. The Office of Student Leadership and Service has the right to waive the need for advisers or adjust the number necessary.
  • Advisers must be a Concordia administrator or faculty member and be approved in advance by the Office of Student Leadership and Service.
  • Each participant on the trip must complete a health information form, a conduct agreement and sign a waiver that releases Concordia from any liability. These forms are available on the student organization off-campus travel website. Copies of the completed forms for each student on the trip must be on file with the Office of Student Leadership and Service before the trip, and the leader of the trip must carry with them on the trip a copy of each student's completed forms. Copies of these forms are also routed to Campus Security and the Office of Risk Management.
