REACH OUT!

Outreach is a two fold ministry involving students of all backgrounds and denominations uniting to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through profession and compassion. We serve our Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding communities through both Traveling and Community Outreach. 

Outreach is unique because we are an organization that does our ministry primarily off-campus. Community teams spend their time at either Juvenile Detention centers or the local Nursing home. The JDC teams visit their centers once a week where they interact and spending time with the youth.  These teams do a number of activities, from sports games, to skits, to bible studies, etc. The nursing home team travels to Evergreen Terrace once a week where they play bingo, lead worships, spend quality time, and participate in other fun activities with the residents.

Traveling teams ministry includes going out to congregationsa total of 6 or 7 times (most 2nd semester) to various communities in the Tri-State area.Teams meet once a week to plan worship services, lock-ins, youth events, or Sunday schools they will be leading on weekends. 1st semester is spent planning the ministry they will be doing during second semester. Second semester is when teams will travel to their various locations sharing what they have worked on to the congregations they will visit. Teams will stay overnight at host homes, or travel solely on Sunday mornings, coming back early Sunday afternoon.

Each Outreach team is a great opportunity for anyone who is excited to help others and share their God-given gifts and talents through service and ministry. Outreach is a great commitment that can have positive lasting effects on those we visit, and on members of Outreach as well. As a Christ-Centered organization Outreach provides not only an outlet to minister to others, but a fulfilling and welcoming community of people to spend time and create lasting friendships with here at Concordia.
