Campus Service Commission is a student-run organization at Concordia College. The mission of CSC is to develop in Concordia students a lifelong commitment to service by integrating academic studies with the meeting of community needs.
CSC provides opportunities for students to spend time in the F-M community participating in tutoring, mentoring, caregiving and emergency assistance service programs. Each student who serves through CSC commits to serving two hours every week at the agency of their choice. Reflection sessions are also held by the student-led volunteer CSC staff to help volunteers connect their service experiences with their education at Concordia. CSC sponsors two major food/clothing drives and three on-campus blood drives each year, as well as several projects for student organizations and working to organize a hunger and homeless awareness week in November.
Concordia College is committed to providing service learning opportunities for students. Learn about more ways in which Concordia is focused on making a difference in the Fargo/Moorhead community and discover the differences between service learning and volunteerism by visiting the Office of Student Leadership and Service's website.
