Outreach
Outreach is a two fold ministry involving students of all backgrounds and denominations united by compassion. Outreach serves the F-M area and Tri-State area through Traveling and Community Outreach teams.
Community teams work with the elderly, juvenile delinquents or youth with psychiatric disorders at there residencies. A typical outing will last 2 hours and often times consists of fellowship, crafts, skill based learning, games, laughter and conversation. The primary goal of all community teams is to build community and spirituality with the residents and team members.
Traveling teams reach out to congregations in the Tri-State area where they lead or host lock-ins, Sunday morning worship, community events, or whatever the congregation requests. Teams spend first semester planning ministry and around second semester they travel to their respective churches. Teams often stay overnight with host families or travel solely on Sunday mornings to lead worship.
Outreach is a great opportunity for anyone who is excited to help others and share their God-given gifts and talents through service and ministry. As a Christ-Centered organization Outreach provides not only an outlet to minister to others, but a fulfilling and welcoming community of people to spend time with and create lasting friendships with here at Concordia.
