Executive Team


The executive team of Student Government oversees all of the activities, events, and initiatives of Student Government. The executive team is elected in the spring, with their term starting in April.

 Presidential and Vice Presidential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the official representatives of SGA
  • Represent student voice to college administrators, faculty and Board of Regents
  • Connect students with administration and faculty
  • Partner with other private colleges to lobby for Minnesota State Grant
  • Work to improve the college by initiating platform goals and projects
  • Advocate for student rights and needs on campus
  • Facilitate May and August student leadership internships and team-building events

  • Plan and implement SGA leadership development opportunities
  • Facilitate teamwork and collaboration among SGA members
  • Assist commissions in accomplishing goals
  • Maintain communication between executives and commissioners

Executive Assistant's Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other Tri-College student governments
  • Assist class representatives in accomplishing goals
  • Help plan special SGA events (Day at the Capitol, May and August internships, etc.)
  • Plan discussion sessions to generate student input
  • Manage the office, filing systems and budget
  • Maintain communication between executives and class representatives
