Attending Summer Orientation is the best way to start your Concordia College experience. There are sessions specifically designed for you to address your needs and concerns. There are also sessions just for your parents.
If you took a foreign language in high school and plan on studying the same language in college, you will want to take our language placement inventory before summer orientation. Then during orientation, you will meet with a member of the Concordia faculty who will help you pick out and register for your first courses, including the appropriate level of a language.
You’ll also learn more about college life at Concordia, meet other new students and just get a better idea of what to expect when you arrive on campus in the fall. Choose from a morning program (8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) or an afternoon program (11:15 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Lunch is included with both sessions.
There are also some additional activities you can accomplish during the day, such as buying your textbooks and visiting a residence hall room.
