Outreach Ministries
Outreach Ministries has two types of teams: traveling and community. Traveling teams spend the first semester planning worships, lock ins, and youth gatherings for churches in the tri-state area. Then, during second semester, the teams take weekend trips (about 4-5 a year), and lead the worship and lock ins at the churches. It is a great team building experiences. The teams consist of two team leaders and 4 or 5 members. Community teams go out into the the F/M community to places like nursing homes, juvenile detention centers, or Luther Hall (a home for kids with behavioral problems). When at their location, the group leads activities, plays games, or just hangs out with the population they're working with. Each week, the team does a devotion and might even pray at the site in order to bring the focus of God into their work. The teams generally spend about 2 hours a week there. Each team also has 2 leaders and anywhere from 5-15 members.
