Group Decision Making
LeadNow Group Perspectives Session
At some point, all groups need to come to a decision. But oftentimes, the decision process is inefficient or doesn't involve the appropriate people or sometimes, the decision doesn't get made at all! In this session you will learn how to guide a group through an effective and empowering decision process aimed towards a positive and productive outcome. Facilitator: Amanda Pieters

The Necessity of Conflict

Managing Group Projects

Groups of students and groups of co-workers are often asked to complete projects together. Needless to say, these assignments can be challenging. "You never get a second chance to make a first impression!" Learn how to create a great first impression and sell your skills and abilities to employers. This session will focus on interview etiquette, appearance, and strategies for answering questions. Facilitator: Sue Zurn

Identity Crisis
What does identity have to do with leadership? Come to this activities based session to find out, and to explore your "identity" in the eyes of others and within yourself. Facilitator: Amanda Pieters

What's Your Learning Style?
How do you learn best? In this session you will determine your learning style and learn some strategies to be more successful as you learn and study throughout college and beyond! Facilitators: America Reads Lead Tutors

Show Your True Colors
Have you ever wanted to approach someone new and didn't know how? Personality cues are key in figuring out what makes people tick so you can initiate conversation, understand people's motivations and create effective working relationships. Learn some quick tips based on the True Colors personality assessment. Facilitator: Sue Zurn

Leadership Tea House
A unique opportunity to experience the King Center ^ Tea House - typically hosted each Monday at 4 p.m. in the King Intercultural Center - during Fuel the Fire. Join the Intercultural Affairs student leadership team and special guests for complimentary tea and thoughtful dialogue about what leadership looks like in different regions of the U.S. and around the world. Life Clues
Did you know that your life has already provided you with clues regarding your vocation? This session will help you recognize those clues and discern a bit of the direction they may be telling you to go, or the direction they may be telling you to avoid. Facilitator: Jon Leiseth

Interfaith: Engaging and Connecting 
Interfaith dialogue--what is it, what isn't it, and how can we use it as leaders in our communities? Learn how to use interfaith dialogue to bridge differences and start conversations, while working together for a common good. This session will focus on facilitating and participating in interfaith dialogue and service, and introduce participants to the new interfaith initiatives on campus.

Effective Emailing Made Easy 
Sending and receiving e-mail has become a fundamental part of life. Attend this session to learn how to craft more effective messages that will increase your (or your organization's) productivity - and impress professors, administrators, other students, and your boss! Facilitator: Mikal Kenfield

Making the Most of It
Do you ever feel like your life is flashing by?  Are there months that pass that you wonder, "What did I do with my time?"  Reflection may be the single most important tool you can use to learn more about who you are and how you impact the world around you.  Come to this session to learn how to get the most out your college experience and your life! Facilitators: Christine Fifield and Jennifer Bevington

Here's Your Sign - Effective Advertising 
An informative, interactive session that will give you the tools you need to have powerful, effective advertising for your next program or event! See examples of ads that have worked, and discuss how some less-effective flyers could be improved. Also learn a technique of multi-round advertising, and how to time those for the best results! You'll be seeing better attendance at your events the first time you try these things! Facilitators: Hannah Mohs and Adam Johnston

Terrific Teambuilders
Want to get to know your team members better? Want to facilitate more interaction between members? This session will demonstrate how to use teambuilding activities to strengthen a group. Facilitators: Danielle Knoll and Jennifer Harvey

The Inside Scoop: What It's Like to Be an R.A.
Applying for a residence life job? In this session, you'll get a better idea of what exactly an RA does through some fun demonstration and have a chance to participate in an exercise that will help you be more prepared for your interview. Finally, you'll get a chance to ask any questions you might have about the RA position or the application/interview process. Facilitators: Brady Hubbard and Joe Dlugos

Orientation Interest Session
Are you looking for ways to continually develop your leadership skills? Did you enjoy your Orientation experience? Do you like to meet new people? Would you like to welcome others to the Concordia family? If you answered yes to any of those questions, leadership in the Orientation program may be just the thing for you! Come to this Orientation interest session to learn about Orientation positions, the application process, and the benefits of involvement in Orientation. Writing Your Personal Mission Statement

Add focus, direction, and a sense of purpose by determining what's most important to you. Then, work to synthesize this into a mission statement to give you direction. This session also includes an overview of the Global Perspectives Certification. Creative Problem Solving

Learn how to structure your resume to best market your unique skills and abilities. Far more than just a list of work experiences -- your resume is a two-dimensional version of you!  Learn tips from the professionals that will produce a resume with results. Facilitator: Kathleen Stompro
