Mission Nutrition

Mission Nutrition is Concordia’s on-site nutritional labeling program. It is one of the most complete nutrition labeling programs throughout college and university food services. Mission Nutrition is based on four key components voted upon by Concordian students: fat, calories, fiber and sodium.

Thanks to Mission Nutrition, the foods at Dining Services are all marked to help you make healthy food choices.

The colors represent the following:

Fat
Red = 13.01 grams or more of fat
Yellow = 5.01 to 13 grams of fat
Green = 5 grams or less of fat

Calories
Red = 400 or more calories
Yellow = 200 to 399 calories
Green = 0 to 199 calories

Fiber
Must have at least 2 grams of fiber to be marked

Sodium
Must have 140 mg or less of sodium to be marked

V
Each symbol marked with a "V" means that food item is suitable for lacto-ovo vegetarians
