Internship
To become a registered dietitian, students must complete the knowledge requirements identified by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) and receive a verification statement that these requirements have been completed, and:
- Complete the National Registration Examination for Dietitians.
- The Concordia Dietetic Internship meets the practice experience requirements of ACEND. Students who successfully complete the program receive a verification statement, which makes them eligible for the National Registration Examination for Dietitians.
- Verification statements will be granted by the Dietetic Internship Director for students who have received satisfactory evaluations from their preceptors and have submitted assignments of professional quality for all of the experiences identified on the master schedule provided at the start of the Dietetic Internship.
- Students may be required to obtain additional state certification/licensure depending on area of practice.
