History of Concordia Forensics

The legacy of the Forensics Program at Concordia stretches back to 1898 when the first debating society was formed - less than a decade after the college itself was established. Since then, the program has been dynamic, changing and expanding as time has passed. Emphasis was first placed on individual events in the early 1980s. Since then, Concordia has remained one of very few schools with a nationally competitive joint speech and debate team.
