Debate Institute
Three-Week and One-Week Schedules
In order to maximize the short amount of time available, the schedule is intense. Each student typically receives more than 80 hours of instruction per week in library research, lab time, individual drills, practice rounds and classroom presentations. Given the low student-to-faculty ratio of 4:1 the potential for improvement is immense. If parents would like to see the exact schedule please use the contact us button.
Typical Schedule for Three-Week Participants
7:15 a.m. Wake-up and breakfast
8:30 Teaching presentations, library or practice round
Noon Lunch
1:00 p.m. Teaching presentations, library or practice round
4:30 Recreation

Weekend Schedule:
Although our weekend schedule is somewhat lighter, Kernels do work on Saturday and Sunday. So, Kernels should not plan to leave the Institute on weekends. Special arrangements can, of course, be made.
