Student Supervision
Fargo-Moorhead has been cited on multiple lists of "Top 10" places to live for mid-size cities. Concordia College is located in a pleasant and safe neighborhood. That being said, we take our responsibility for supervising students very seriously! The following list, while not comprehensive, provides some specifics concerning our policies regarding student supervision.
Our dormitory, Brown Hall, has entrance controlled by proxy key access cards between 11:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. No one except for staff members have proxy access cards so students are secure within the building. Staff members live with students in each unit of Brown Hall. There is always a staff member on duty supervising when students are in the dorm.
There are multiple "check-in" points throughout the day to insure that students are never without an adult supervisor in the vicinity.
Kernels (our name for the enrolled students) are required to travel on campus in groups of at least three persons.
Students are never allowed to leave campus without a staff member unless we have prior, written permission from the students parent or guardian.
Campus Security is on campus 24 hours a day.
Concordia's campus security system employs a professional staff of security officers, who protect property, enforce laws and regulations, and, most importantly, help protect personal safety throughout the college campus. A security escort is provided on campus. If you would like an escort, notify campus security at 299-3123. The Security office is open 24 Hours a Day.
We strive to make this environment educational, fun and secure for your students. If you have further questions please email us at the CONTACT link above.
