Inquiry Seminar

Concordia’s First-Year Experience is all about helping you make a successful and enjoyable transition to college life – and one of the ways we do that is by offering you a unique course right away in your first semester. Inquiry Seminars, as we call them, are courses designed to help you develop valuable critical thinking skills and they’re offered in a wide variety of topics and taught by professors who are passionate about those subjects. Inquiry Seminar topics are intentionally diverse and meant to appeal to your interests.

All first-year students are required to register for an Inquiry Seminar, which is also paired with either a written or oral communication course. In other words, you’ll take both classes with the same group of students, making it easier for you to get to know some of your classmates. Better yet, these same students will make up your Orientation Club and your Inquiry Seminar professor will also be your Orientation Club Faculty Member.
