Ryan Gustafson '07 is not usually a stickler for rules, but when it comes to his weekly "Grey's Anatomy" party, sometimes he just has to put his foot down.
"We've developed a strict, no-noise policy during the show with all discussions happening during the commercials," jokes the senior from Arlington, Minn., who is only kinda-sorta joking.
About a year ago, Gustafson and a half-dozen or so friends started the weekly tradition of getting together at one of their on-campus apartments to watch their favorite show, munch on some snacks and take a much-deserved study break.
Even during finals week (especially during finals week), the mix of guys and gals take time out from projects and last-minute cramming to share a common obsession with the suspiciously good-looking and witty staff of Seattle Grace Hospital.
Gustafson, who plans to take a year off before applying to law school, says his party isn't the only "Grey's" get-together on campus, and suspects that a few other shows have their Concordia faithful as well.
And if people decide to hang out for a couple of hours after the show, even better, says Gustafson. At least he won't have to shush them every five minutes.
