Rachel Honz
Graduation year: 2014
Major(s)/Minor: Vocal Music Education/ Theatre
Hometown, State: St. Louis, Missouri
Concordia Involvement/Activities: Singing second soprano in choir and running around the theatre!
Favorite thing about Concordia: The professors here truly care about their students. Even when you no longer have a class with them, they are willing to talk and catch up with you over a cup of coffee in the Maize.
One obstacle I had to overcome at Concordia: St. Louis is about a sixteen hour drive from Moorhead, so usually I only go home for Christmas. My family is very important to me, so we found creative ways to stay connected during the school year.
Best advice to a new student at Concordia: Find something you are passionate about, and go for it! You don't have to wait until after you graduate to make an impact.
Summer Job/Activities: Concordia Summer School Abroad studying worship in the United Kingdom, then Assistant Program Director for Boundless Love, a camp in the mountains of mainland China.
Favorite attraction or hang-out in Fargo/Moorhead: Theatre B. It is within walking distance to campus and produces a variety of great plays that you'll not want to miss!
Little known fact about yourself: I always have the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookie dough in my apartment...in case of emergencies :)
Favorite pick up line: Is your dad a dentist? You have a beautiful smile.
