 Here is a guide to some of the many resources Concordia has to offer to help you be successful.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the Office of Student Success and Retention.

Student Success and Retention

The Office of Student Success and Retention provides personal student support, outreach/drop-in services, parent education and support, peer mentoring and information and referral to other campus resources.  Staff and student mentors are available to connect with students on a personal basis.

Office of Campus Ministry

Location: Second floor of Knutson Campus Center.

Office of Campus Ministry provides worship, study, spiritual counseling and service opportunities for students, staff and faculty.  Campus pastors are available to students for personal and spiritual issues.

Counseling Center and Disability Services

The Counseling Center offers free individual, couples, and group counseling services in a variety of area's to enrolled students. Other services include presentation, consultation, and referral.  Appointments must be made before hand. Also offers access to learning opportunities for students with disabilities who meet the standard criteria for admission.

The Office of Student Affairs coordinates and directs several administrative divisions on campus.  The services, programs, and activities provided by the Office of Student Affairs are intended to help meet the personal needs of students and enhance their total learning experience.  Students who have any concerns, questions, or problems are encouraged to visit or call the Office of Student Affairs.

Career Center

The Career Center is available to help students explore their options for the future.  Services include educational and career planning, cooperative education, graduate school searches and the Job Shop ( a student-operated employment listing service for students looking for part-time jobs on or off campus.)

The Office of Intercultural Affairs is a resource for all students and especially encourages students of color and international backgrounds to participate in its support services, educational programs, and leadership opportunities.

The Health Center provides service on an outpatient appointment or walk-in basis throughout the academic year. The Health Center is committed to providing students with professional health care and thoughtful information that promotes wellness and healthy lifestyles.

The Business Office maintains a student bank and handles student accounts with the college.  For questions about student accounts, payment plans, and athletic insurance claims students should see the Business Office.

Security staff help to protect the personal safety of students and staff on campus. Other services include: protection of property, and enforcement of laws and regulations. Security is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Academic Assistance

Academic Advising

Advisement is a process that will encourage you to begin defining your educational, personal and career goals.  Each first-year student is assigned a faculty adviser.  Students are encouraged to meet with their adviser outside of scheduled advising sessions.  Your adviser is there to assist you.  Advising is a central component of a Concordia education and is a partnership between the student and faculty adviser. 

Academic Enhancement and Writing Center

Offers peer tutoring, academic counseling, supplemental instruction and information on study skills, test anxiety, time management, and improving on time management. Also offers one-on-one tutorials to enhance your writing skills. Tutors can work with you on preparing and improving essays and other materials for class.

The Registrars Office provides services and information about the following: advisor information, transcripts, dropping or adding a course, course, change of major or minor, Dean's List, registration, transfer credit evaluations, and commencement information.

Carl B. Ylvisaker Library

The library provides quality information resources and services to support the college community.  The library provides the required resources for the under graduate study of the liberal arts.  There are three computer labs, laptops can be checked out, there is wireless access through out the building, and 18 study rooms with computers for group study.  There is a curriculum center, college archives and reference librarians to assist students.
