Placement Program
To recognize an applicant’s experience rate, a new hire or newly benefit eligible employee may seek a higher placement on the accrual schedule if the employee received paid leave benefits at his or her most recent employer that exceed the amount of PTO and holiday pay that the employee would otherwise receive under this policy, provided that there is less than a one year gap in employment between the most recent employer and becoming benefit eligible at Concordia. This placement strategy provides opportunity to keep the newly recruited employee “whole” within their benefit experience.
