As a residential, liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Concordia recognizes and affirms that intellect and faith are active partners in the pursuit of truth. At core values of the College:

The Office of Vocation and Church Leadership serves:

  • To publicly offer voice and witness to the College’s mission and identity.
  • To create and nurture an intentional climate for vocational reflection and discernment, within and beyond the College community.
  • To convene and attend to relationships the College has with ELCA churchwide leadership, ELCA Synod leadership, ELCA congregations, ELCA social ministry organizations, ELCA outdoor ministries, ELCA global mission – including the Young Adults in Global Mission program, ELCA colleges and universities, ELCA seminaries, ELCA ecumenical partners, Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Disaster Response, and all other related partners.
  • To convene and attend to relationships the College has with interfaith or inter-religious partners and neighbors.
  • To create and send forth communication within the Concordia College Corporation and to its voting members.
  • To convene and facilitate the Concordia College Corporation Annual Assembly.
  • To attend to relationship the College has with the Council of Independent Colleges Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (CIC - NetVUE).
  • To partner with College administration, faculty, and staff in matters of theological resourcing and public events.
  • To nurture congregational scholarship gifts within the Concordia College Corporation Territory for purpose of student financial assistance.
  • To convene and strategically connect work of the College’s Dovre Center for Faith and Learning, Forum on Faith and Life, Department of Religion’s Faith and Leadership Concentration, Offutt School of Business Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work, Office of Ministry, and Office of Vocation and Church Leadership.
