take place in the Tabernacle/Wall Lounge (Knutson Campus Center, mezzanine level) unless otherwise noted. Soup will be served. Please feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.

Training Programs

The Safe Space training frames the role of LGBTQ allies on and beyond campus and introduce resources for shaping a fully inclusive community. Participants will be asked to sign a contract to identify them as resources before they receive the Safe Space sticker.

The next training will take place in late October 2013. Thanks to all who have participated in the most recent training (February 2013) and prior training sessions!

Jennifer Knapp, Inside Out Faith, Knutson Campus Center Centrum. Wednesday, September 25th. 7 pm

Ms. Knapp is a Christian musician whose record label dropped her after she outed herself as a lesbian.  She leads a compelling lecture and Q + A on her story.

The person displaying this sticker is supportive, trustworthy and sensitive to the needs and concerns of LGBTQ people. Within this person's office, classroom, room, and/or personal space, homophobic and heterosexist comments and actions will not be tolerated silently, but instead will be addressed in an educational, informative, confidential, and non-threatening manner. This person is a support, resource person, and ally, whether or not he or she is an LGBTQ person. He or she has completed the Safe Space training at Concordia.
