Writing Center

Concordia’s Writing Center, a division of the Academic Enhancement Center, provides you with the opportunity to work one-on-one with experienced peer tutors to improve your writing. The Writing Center is located in the lower level of Fjelstad Hall.

Our services are free and most commonly include assistance with academic papers for writing-dependent courses such as Inquiry Written Communication, Inquiry Seminar, Inquiry Oral Communication and religion courses. We will help you with papers for any of your courses, regardless of the discipline. For additional help, refer to our recommended online resources.

Writing Tutorials
Our one-on-one tutorials are designed to help you at any stage of the writing process. We can help you brainstorm ideas at the beginning or polish your paper at the end. We view these sessions as not only an opportunity to help you improve your academic paper, but also to develop strategies to improve your overall writing ability.

We recommend signing up for a half-hour session for a paper five to seven pages long and a one-hour session for anything longer. Please bring two copies of your paper and your assignment with you.

Please call (218) 299-4551 to schedule an appointment to improve your writing skills.  The Writing Center is open Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Sundays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
