Resources

The mission of the department of residence life is to provide a safe living environment that promotes personal growth, fosters student learning, stresses responsible behavior and encourages community involvement.  The information and resources below are for your use in helping us create an engaging living environment.

All residents are responsible for knowing and adhering to the policies and procedures outlined in the Residence Hall Handbook.

Maintenance issues that occur in your room or the building can be reported using Concordia’s Online Work Order system.  If you continue to experience problems, please contact a member of the hall or custodial staff.

If you are experiencing problems with campus cable contact Digital Media Services at 218-299-4202.

Residence Hall internet connection problems can be directed to 702 Communications.

Loft and Refrigerator rentals are contracted through CSI Lofts.  Please keep in mind that loft rentals are not permitted in Brown and Park Region.

Residents may utilize the hall information desk located at the entrance of building.  At the desk students can:

  • pick up paper for the computer lab
  • check out games, cooking equipment, DVDs, and more
  • check out vacuums and other cleaning supplies

Each residence hall desk is open Monday – Friday from 6pm – 6am and Saturday & Sunday from 3pm – 6am.  Residents of Brown and the College Apartments and Townhouses may utilize desks that are closest to their building.

Every night from 8pm-7am there is a member of the residence life staff on duty.  This staff member may be reached via phone if there is an emergency or a student is looking to get into storage.  The number to reach this staff member is posted near the information desk.

If you are locked out of your room find a Residence Life staff member in your hall.  The staff member will be able to open your door for you.  If no members of your hall staff are available, contact Public Safety at 218-299-3123.

Students who have lost their keys should report this to the Director’s Assistant (DA) in your building.  The DA will order new keys for your room.

Vending Machine and Laundry issues should be reported to the front desk or Director’s Assistant in your building.  If your money was eaten, you may fill out a refund slip.  The money will then be refunded to your Cobber ID.

For your information and security every year the college publishes a Campus Public Safety Activity Report and Fire Report.
