Core Curriculum

Concordia introduced a new Core Curriculum, a specific set of required liberal arts courses, in the fall of 2007. All students earning a Bachelor of Arts degree must complete the courses, designed to provide a solid foundation in written and oral communication skills, along with a broad background of knowledge through the study of a variety of disciplines.

Through the Core Curriculum, students develop an appreciation for other people and cultures and an ability to respond to change in creative, effective ways. The Core Curriculum’s explicit goal is to prepare our students to be responsibly engaged in the world.
