Frequently Asked Questions

How can I pay or view my tuition bill?

Are paper bills mailed out each month?

No, only one paper bill is sent to the student's home address each semester--the first billing for fall semester is mailed mid-July and the first billing for spring semester is mailed mid-December.  All subsequent monthly statements are only available on-line via "eBill".  Between billing cycles, updated balances or current activity can be viewed by logging in to the "eBill" site and selecting the "recent account activity" link (Current Account Status tab).

How will I know when a new statement is available?

E-mails will be sent to all students and all "authorized users" indicating that a new billing statement has been prepared and is ready for viewing.  The e-mail sent to students provides a link to the C-port "log-in".  Once logged in to C-port, students can access the "eBill" page by selecting the TouchNet icon.  Monthly statements will be ready approximately the 17th of each month.  Students are strongly encouraged to add their parents as "authorized users" so parents can access tuition bills on-line.

Why do I have to pay a convenience fee to make a credit card payment?

Concordia College contracts with a third party service provider (TouchNet/Pay Path) to ensure compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) card association rules.  The 2.75% rate charged by the service provider is collected and retained by the service provider.

Why is VISA not an option for credit card payments on student accounts?

VISA does not allow the convenience fee charged by our service provider; therefore, we are not able to offer this option.

When are payments due?

  • Payments for fall term are due August 15.
  • Payments for spring term are due January 15.
  • Payments for summer term are due June 15.

Who do I contact if I have questions regarding the financial aid listed on my billing statement?

Any questions regarding financial aid (scholarships, loans, etc.) should be directed to the Office of Financial Aid at 218-299-3010 or e-mail finaid@cord.edu.

What is the purpose of the Student Activity Fee?

The Student Activity Fee is a required fee for all students each semester.  This fee provides funding for student organizations, programming and activities on campus.

How can I use my loans to pay for rent?

If your financial aid exceeds your charges causing a credit balance on your student account, you can request a refund of the credit to use for living expenses.  Contact the Business Office at 218-299-3150 or e-mail BusinessOffice@cord.edu to request a refund.

What if I need more loans, work study or other financial aid?

Please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 218-299-3010 or e-mail finaid@cord.edu.

Can international students pay on-line if they do not bank at a U.S. Financial Institution?

Sorry, electronic check payments are only accepted from U.S. Financial Institutions.  Please contact the Business Office for international wiring instructions.

What is the Payment Agreement and Disclosure Statement?

The Payment Agreement and Disclosure Statement is an agreement between the student and the College that outlines how the student will pay their obligation to the school.  It also outlines finance charges, use of Financial Aid and your billing rights.  You must have a Payment Agreement and Disclosure Statement on file with the College.
