Scholarships

Concordia Scholarships

Concordia Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and academic achievement. Students must complete the FAFSA on an annual basis. Renewal is based on continued financial need and academic achievement.

Named Scholarships

Concordia offers more than 400 Named Scholarships valued at approximately $2 million. Students must demonstrate financial need in order to be considered for most of them. Selection is based on academic achievement in addition to other criteria specified within the scholarship. A separate application is not required. Scholarships are awarded automatically by the Financial Aid Office and through faculty nominations.

Minnesota Achieve Scholarship

Minnesota residents attending a Minnesota College who graduated after January 2008 are eligible to apply for the Minnesota Achieve Scholarship.   Students who graduated from a Minnesota High School during 2008 are eligible to apply for the $1200 scholarship if the parents' adjusted gross income is less than $75,000.  Students who graduated from a Minnesota High School in 2009 are eligible to apply if they are recipients of either Minnesota Grant or Pell Grant.  The value of the scholarship varies.

External Scholarships

External Scholarships are those sponsored and administered by individuals, agencies or organizations not directly affiliated with Concordia College. These scholarships are primarily regional organizations that have mailed the Financial Aid Office information and applications. Details about these scholarships are posted on the C-News page. Applications are often available in the Financial Aid Office; however, we encourage you to research scholarships and download applications online when available.

Be careful about paying any agency for a scholarship. There are no guarantees when you pay for a scholarship search.  There are free scholarship searches such as this one sponsored by the US Department of Education.
