Financial Aid Types
Scholarships
Concordia Scholarships
Concordia Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement. Renewal is based on full-time enrollment and academic achievement.
Named Scholarships
Concordia offers more than 400 Named Scholarships valued at approximately $2 million. Students must demonstrate financial need in order to be considered for most of them. Selection is based on academic achievement in addition to other criteria specified within the scholarship. A separate application is not required. Scholarships are awarded automatically by the Financial Aid Office and through faculty nominations.
External Scholarships
External Scholarships are those sponsored and administered by individuals, agencies or organizations not directly affiliated with Concordia College. Concordia will post information on scholarship opportunities that have been sent to the Financial Aid Office. These scholarships are primarily regional organizations that have mailed the Financial Aid Office information and applications. Details about these scholarships are posted on the Financial Aid Website on our External Scholarship page.
Be careful about paying any agency for a scholarship. There are no guarantees when you pay for a scholarship search. There are free scholarship searches such as this one sponsored by the US Department of Education.
