How to Apply
Financial Aid for International Students
Concordia College prizes the contributions international students make to enhance education at Concordia, and we are pleased to provide partial financial assistance to help make it more possible to enroll. We offer International Student Scholarships based on academic ability and family need that can go as high as $18,000 per year for students joining in 2012. In addition, Concordia offers performance scholarships to students based solely on talent in Music, Theatre Performance and Production, Visual Arts, and Speech and Debate (please note some of the other scholarships on the linked page are available only to US citizen students).
Norwegian students will receive the King Olav V scholarship worth $12,000 per year in place of the International Student Scholarship, and students from Sweden an Denmark will receive International Student Scholarships. Because of strong government financial support in Scandinavia, no financial aid application is required.
International students are also eligible to work on campus, and campus employment opportunities are plentiful. We estimate you can earn about $2,500 per year from campus employment. After you have been enrolled for an academic year we offer opportunities for cooperative education that can lead to "on the job training" in your field of study and off campus employment authorization.
The steps to apply for Concordia and Concordia international student financial aid are:
1. Apply for admission. Save the $20 application fee by applying online.
2. Complete the International Student Financial Aid and Certification Form.
3. Apply for private loans if needed. All loan programs for international students require co-signers with U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and good credit records.
Education in the USA is expensive, and it's important to recognize we can't make it possible for every deserving student to attend
