Student Parking and Bicycle Permits for 2013-14
Students who need a parking and/or bicycle permit for academic year 2013-14 will receive a Cobweb the week of August 19 from Parking Services notifying them when the online system is open and available for applicants to begin applying for permits. Once you receive the Cobweb, please return here for detailed instructions on what you need when applying.
Information
The parking policies of Concordia College are reviewed annually and revised as necessary. Compliance with these regulations is necessary in order to promote orderly parking. All motor vehicle (car, van, motorcycle, motorbike, etc.) and bicycle operators are expected to be registered and familiar with the parking and traffic policies. Concordia students, faculty, staff and guests may park in designated campus parking lots with the appropriate parking permits. Student and staff permits are issued at no cost in the Facilities Management office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Students are issued a sticker permit which must be applied to the left rear window of the vehicle. Staff are issued a hangtag permit which hangs from the rearview mirror facing forward.
Parking Lot Hours
Hours for the Knutson Campus Center/Lorentzsen Hall, Theatre/Library, Memorial Auditorium (includes clinic)/Hvidsten/Pool, Advancement Center lots are as follows:
• 6 a.m. - 4 p.m. Vehicles with designated permits
• 4 p.m. - 2 a.m. Open parking
• 2 a.m. - 6 a.m. Closed; no overnight parking, including weekends
Parking Tickets
Parking Services staff patrol the lots day and night throughout the academic year and summer. They, along with hall directors, are authorized to write parking tickets. The penalty is specified on the ticket. The following guidelines are used per ticket:
- Improper Lot, $7
- Failure to Display Permit, $15
- Fire Lane/Blocking Access/Traffic Flow, $15
- No Overnight Parking, $15
- Not in a Designated Space, $15
- Overtime Parking (15-30 minute zone), $15
- Special Reserved, $15
- Unregistered Vehicle, $15
- Visitor Parking, $15
- False Ticket, $25
- Handicapped Parking, $200
Vehicles with four or more unpaid, unregistered vehicle tickets are subject to tow/impound. All fees associated with impounding a vehicle are the responsibility of the owner. Unpaid fines must be paid prior to a vehicle being released from impound.
All parking fines may be paid during office hours (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) at the Facilities Management Office. Make checks payable to Concordia College. Payments may also be mailed to:

Parking Ticket Appeals
All parking ticket appeals must be made online within 10 days of receipt of a ticket. Appeals will be responded to within five business days. If you would like to appeal your ticket, please fill out the parking ticket appeal form. Remember that being parked in an area for a short time does not absolve you and almost never are fire lane tickets excusable.
