5 p.m. - Effective immediately, the status of the campus is changed from CLOSED to LIMITED OPENING. The residence halls remain closed and classes canceled. Students should not return to campus until advised to do so via the daily flood updates. Only those employees contacted by their supervisors should come to campus. Keep in mind, there is no water, sewer, or heat available in College buildings. If you do not hear from your supervisor, DO NOT come to campus.
Campus Status
As the Red River slowly falls, the campus is remaining quite dry. There were no new seepage problems overnight and the facilities team is staying on top of any areas that previously had moisture issues.
Re-opening the College/Academic Schedule
College officials are working through the logistics of when the campus can reopen. The President’s Cabinet and the Academic Council are meeting today. They will discuss the re-opening of campus as well as the academic schedule for the remainder of the year. A tentative schedule and plan for the college re-opening will come out at noon tomorrow in the daily update.
