Every few years, 25 faculty and administrators pack their bags for a trip of a lifetime. They embark on a journey to Europe to study the spiritual, intellectual and cultural heritage of the Lutheran Reformation.

Sponsored by the Dovre Center for Faith and Learning, the Lutheran Heritage Seminar brings together faculty and administrators from many departments, introducing them to a variety of sites, cities and cultures – helping them better understand the life and teachings of Martin Luther.

First offered in 2004 and again in 2006, the trip featured three weeks in Germany and Scandinavia. The 2008 trip included two weeks in Germany, and visits to Arthur Castle, the Buchenwald Concentration Camp memorial, and more.
