Dr. Ernie Simmons is a professor of religion and director of the Dovre Center for Faith and Learning at Concordia College. An ordained ELCA pastor, he holds a doctorate in religion from Claremont Graduate School, Claremont, Calif., and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary, St. Paul. Simmons served parishes in Minnesota, California and North Dakota, prior to coming to Concordia in 1979.
