Transit Bus Driver

The White Earth Transportation Department is seeking qualified candidates to transport passengers for the White Earth Reservation Public Transit Program.
-Operates a bus carrying passengers to and from designated locations to ensure safe and timely transportation/delivery.
-Collects fares, tokens, or passes from passengers.
-Assists passengers as needed.
-Completes pre-and post-trip inspections and reports needed repairs.
-Cleans bus at end of each shift.
-Serves as a backup dispatcher as needed.
-Completes daily trip sheets and all other paperwork accurately and completely.
-Ability to be flexible and work some weekends.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:
-Knowledge of area of operation and familiarity with roads and highways.
-Ability to operate a multipassenger bus
-Ability to operate a 2 way radio, cell phone, and office equipment such as; computer, fax, and copier.
Qualifications:
-A bus driver is required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with a passenger endorsement. A DOT physical is also required, as is proof of a safe driving record. The DOT physical is required every two years and a copy of the driving record is required annually on the anniversary of employment.
-High School Diploma or GED
-Valid Minnesota driver's license and insurable.
