CONCORDIA STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN “TAKE BACK THE NIGHT”

    Students from Concordia College, MSUM and NDSU will take part in Take Back the Night Tuesday, Sept. 29. Concordia marchers will gather at the bell tower at 6:10 p.m. with marching beginning at 6:20 p.m.
    Take Back the Night is an opportunity for responsible engagement in the community on a matter of local and global concern: Violence Against Women. It is an annual event held across the nation. Marchers from Concordia, MSUM, NDSU and Island Park will rally at the Fargo Civic Center. Marchers are encouraged to wear white and to bring a flashlight. At the rally a Rockumentary about domestic violence, “In Pieces,” will be presented and “Heather” will tell her personal story.  
    Concordia’s Campus Entertainment Commission and Residence Life staff will all be marching. Community members are encourage along with Concordia students, faculty and staff to gather floormates, clubs, teams, classes and friends and join in this important event.
    Concordia's involvement in Take Back the Night is coordinated by Student Affairs, Campus Entertainment Commission, Residence Life and Women's Studies.
