MEDIA OPPORTUNITY:
NORWEGIAN AMBASSADOR TO MEET WITH CONCORDIA STUDENTS
Norwegian Ambassador Wegger Chr. Strommen will visit Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., on his tour of the Midwest. He will attend a private luncheon Thursday, April 17 and then meet with a class of Scandinavian Studies students. Media are invited to sit in on the class at 1:30 p.m. in the, Jones Conference Suite A and B, Knutson Campus Center. Ambassador Strommen will be available for interviews after the class at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Strommen began a five-day tour of Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakotaon April 14 to deepen relations with the Norwegian-American heartland. He will tour historical, cultural, and educational institutions, many of which were founded by Norwegian immigrants. He will spend time with leaders of the Norwegian-American community to discuss how to continue to cultivate the strong bonds that exist between Norwayand the Midwest.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
