CONCORDIA TO PRESENT SPRING JAZZ ENSEMBLE CONCERT

            The Concordia College Music Department will present its Spring Jazz Ensemble Concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 15 in Orchestra Rehearsal Hall and the North Choral Room, Hvidsten Hall of Music. The performance will feature Concordia’s two Jazz Ensembles.

            Jazz I, conducted by interim director Matthew Patnode, associate professor at North Dakota State University, will perform works by Count Basie, Pat Metheny, Matt Harris and Jerome Kern.

            Jazz II is conducted by Peter Knudsvig, a Concordia graduate and member of the internationally acclaimed group, Rekkenze Brass. Jazz II will perform works by Dizzy Gillespie, Christina Aguilera, Chris Martin and Roger Holmes.

            The concert is free and open to the public.
