INSTRUMENTAL COLLAGE CONCERT AT CONCORDIA

            The music department at Concordia College will present the first Instrumental Collage Concert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 11 in Memorial Auditorium. The concert is in conjunction with the inaugural High School Honor Band Weekend at Concordia, April 11-13.

            The concert will feature The Concordia College Jazz Ensemble I, conducted by interim director Dr. Matthew Patnode, associate professor at North Dakota State University; The Concordia College Orchestra, conducted by Bruce Houglum, associate professor of music at Concordia; The Concordia College Percussion Ensemble, conducted by Dr. David P. Eyler, associate professor of music at Concordia; and The Concordia College Band, conducted by Dr. Scott A. Jones, assistant professor of music at Concordia.  The Concordia College Band will also be conducted by Dr. Frank Ticheli, Professor of Composition at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music.

            Audience members will be treated to a wide variety of music – everything from Basie to Bach!

            The concert is free and open to the public.
