MOORHEADCOUPLE RECEIVES AWARD
AT CONCORDIA COLLEGE
A Moorhead couple, longtime employees of Concordia College, Mark and Paulette Dixon received the Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Service Award at the annual Spring Support Staff Appreciation Dinner April 1.
Mark’s is stockroom supervisor in the Physical Plant, but his actual duties are wide ranging. He coordinates the activities of multiple work teams and works with shipping and receiving. Paulette has worked for the college since 1995 in several different capacities and is currently the manager of the campus post office. Her colleagues say she has a special ability to work well with students and she and her husband have mentored students and hosted international students in their home. The Dixons are dedicated employees who exemplify the mission of the college.
The Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Service Award recognizes excellence in long-term service to the college by a member of the support staff. The recipient must be both outstanding in their professional role and a person who is committed to the mission and goals of Concordia.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
