CONCORDIA CULTURAL EVENTS SERIES PRESENTS EMPIRE BRASS

 The Cultural Events Series at Concordia College will present Empire Brass, the most accomplished brass quintet performing in the world today, in concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 12 in Memorial Auditorium on the Moorhead, Minn., campus.

The five musicians, all of whom have held leading positions with major American orchestras, perform more than 100 concerts a year and have performed with many of the world’s leading symphony orchestras. The quintet is known for its brilliant virtuosity and unparalleled diversity of its repertoire introducing audiences to brass music that ranges from Bach and Handel to jazz and Broadway. In addition to concerts in the United States, the Empire Brass has toured the Far East thirteen times and regularly performs in Europe. The group is the first brass ensemble to win the prestigious Naumberg Chamber Music Award.
