The Concordia College Symphonia orchestra along with the Tintinnabula and Campana handbell choirs will present a concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 8 in the Orchestra Rehearsal Hall on the Moorhead, Minn., campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Symphonia will perform “Canzona for Double Orchestra,” by Gabrielli and “Groove” by Shelley Hanson. They’ll team with Tintinnabula on “Now the Green Blade Riseth,” a traditional French carol arranged by Kevin McChesney.
Included in the several selections to be performed by Tintinnabula are “Sherekea Usafari! (Celebrate the Journey!)” and an African-American spiritual “Jazz Ballad on Let Us Break Bread Together,” both arranged by Cathy Moklebust.
Campana will also perform several selections including “Pizzicati” by Leo Delibes arranged by Kevin McChesney and “Wade in the Water,” another African-American spiritual arranged by Sandra Eithun.
