CONCORDIA COLLEGE TO PRESENT SENIOR HONORS CONCERT

 

            The music department at Concordia College will present a senior honors concert featuring the Concordia College Orchestra with senior soloists at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 29 in Memorial Auditorium on the Moorhead, Minn., campus.

            The orchestra is conducted by Bruce Houglum and will feature seniors Kara Cook, piano; Kohei Kameda, alto saxophone; Karin Newstrom, horn and Kyle Maxwell-Doherty, xylophone. Musical selections include works by Edvard Grieg, Paul Creston, Gordon Jacob, Toshiro Mayuzumi and Franz Liszt

            One of the college’s most distinctive performing groups, The Concordia College Orchestra is an outstanding 81-member symphony orchestra that has earned national and international acclaim.

            The concert is free and open to the public.
