STUDENT LECTURE AT CONCORDIA

Concordia College senior, Richard Ferrera, will present a lecture as part of the Student Lecture Series at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 1 in Birkeland Alumni Lounge. The lecture, “Why We Fight: Selected Western Military Interventions in Iraq,” is free and open to the public.

In order to gain a better understanding of the current military intervention in Iraq, Ferrera studied history. Great Britain occupied the same region during and after the First World War also intending to bring about a regime change. Ferrera will discuss his findings in his lecture.

Ferrera’s faculty sponsor is Dr. Sonja P. Wentling, assistant professor of history at Concordia College.

Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
