Clausen CD Nominated for Three Grammys

Life and Breath: Choral Works by Rene ClausenA CD honoring the compositions of Concordia Choir conductor and composer René Clausen has been nominated for three Grammy Awards.

“Life and Breath: Choral Works by René Clausen” is a 13-track album recorded by the Kansas City Chorale. The CD has been nominated for Best Engineered Classical Album, Best Choral Performance and Classical Producer of the Year.

"I am delighted, honored, and humbled to learn that The Kansas City Chorale's new CD of my choral works 'Life and Breath' has been nominated for a Grammy award," Clausen said. "I am grateful to Artistic Director Charles Bruffy for his sensitive and inspired interpretation of the music in its variety of styles, and to the singers of the Chorale for their willingness to give of themselves, vocally, musically and spiritually to create such pristine and truly beautiful ensemble singing."
