Quincer and Peterson in front of CapitalElizabeth Quincer ’13 and Bradley Peterson ’13 and their mentor, Dr. Krys Strand, assistant professor of biology, traveled to Washington, D.C., in April to present at the Council on Undergraduate Research's Posters on the Hill.

Only 60 posters were accepted for presentation from more than 800 submissions.

Quincer and Peterson shared the work they presented as part of the student lecture series at Concordia, "Can Mozart Make Myelin?" Quincer and Peterson researched whether music as passive environmental enrichment induces a physiological response in the central nervous system (CNS) and thereby diseases of the CNS like multiple sclerosis.
