CONCORDIA OPENS ACADEMIC YEAR
Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., starts the 2012-13 academic year with opening convocation at 9:20 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, in Memorial Auditorium. The convocation officially opens the 122nd academic year.
The program will include an address by the author of “Acts of Faith,” Dr. Eboo Patel; a greeting by Student Government Association president, Meg Henrickson ’13; and a welcome and declaration of the opening of the academic year by provost and dean of the college, Dr. Mark Krejci. The program also features vice president for enrollment, Steven M. Schuetz; campus pastor, Rev. Elizabeth McHan; and music by The Concordia Band, conducted by Dr. Peter Haberman.
Immediately following convocation, the traditional Beanie Toss will take place on Olin Hill at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering more than 60 majors, including 18 honors majors and 12 preprofessional programs.
