CONCORDIA PRESENTS ANNUAL JURIED ART EXHIBITION
Concordia College will present the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition opening Tuesday, March 12, and running through Wednesday, March 27, in the Cyrus M. Running Gallery. A public reception will be from 4-6 p.m. March 12 with awards presented at 5 p.m.
Concordia College students are invited to submit any artwork they have produced since January of 2012. The juror will determine which submissions are chosen for the exhibition.
This year’s juror is Tania Blanich, executive director of the Rourke Art Gallery Museum. Blanich has more than 25 years of nonprofit and arts management and leadership experience. She has served in New York as director of the Program for Media Artists, a Rockefeller Foundation international initiative, and she was chief operating officer of LexArts, Lexington, Ky. She has also served as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts as well as curating and coordinating major film and video exhibitions at venues such as the Guggenheim Museum in New York and Bilbao and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. For more information call the Art Department at (218) 299-4623.
