CONCORDIA ORCHESTRA HOME CONCERT

    Concordia College Music Organizations will present The Concordia Orchestra Spotlight Concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in Memorial Auditorium. The concert, which this year is “Spotlight on Sibelius”, is free and open to the public.
    The Concordia Orchestra, conducted by Foster Beyers, will be joined by the Red River High School Concert Orchestra (Grand Forks, N.D.), conducted by Jeff Seabloom. The concert will begin with the Red River Orchestra performing “Simple Symphony” by Benjamin Britten.  The Concordia Orchestra will then join the Red River Orchestra to perform “Finlandia Op. 26” by Jean Sibelius. The concert will conclude with The Concordia Orchestra performing “Symphony No. 5 Op. 82 in E Flat Major”, also by Sibelius.
    Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering more than 60 majors, including 18 honors majors and 12 preprofessional programs.
